The Society for Human Resource Management (www.shrm.org) is a professional association for Human Resource professionals which provides essential and comprehensive resources, and is committed to advancing the human resource profession and the capabilities of all human resource professionals to ensure that HR is an essential and effective partner in developing and executing organizational strategy.
San Diego SHRM (www.sdshrm.org)is a chartered chapter of the national organization. Chapter meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, for lunch. Meetings include a program with speakers selected for their expertise in a particular human resource topic area. Information on each meeting is published on the Chapter’s website.
The American Society of Training and Development (www.astd.org) is a professional association for people with training and development responsibilities in business, industry, education, government, public service and other arenas of human resource development. Its mission is to provide personal and professional growth opportunities that enable members to improve work related competencies and performance of individuals, organizations and society.
ASTD San Diego (www.astdsandiego.org) is a chartered chapter of the national organization. Chapter meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month, for either lunch or dinner. Meetings include a program with speakers selected for their expertise in a particular learning and development or other management area. Information on each meeting is published on the Chapter’s website.
The International Society for Performance Improvement (www.ispi.org) is a professional organization whose members are dedicated to improving human performance of individuals and organizations through the application of human performance technology.
ISPI San Diego (www.ispisandiego.org) is a chartered chapter of the national organization. Chapter meetings are held on the third Thursday every other month starting in January, and our Fall Forum is on the first Friday in November.
