The Session
This presentation will provide an overview of how an OD department emerged as a separate function within a local biotech organization.
It will include an overview of the context in which the department was developed, its approach to identifying OD initiatives, and specific interventions that were taken to address OD issues, including culture and accountability, performance management, and internal communications.
The program will provide valuable insights for both external and internal OD professionals about key issues related to the application of OD initiatives within an organization. It will provide a real-life case study of an organization that has identified and acted on OD initiatives to create measurable impact on organization effectiveness.

• How to identify high leverage issues
• Specific OD interventions used to address culture, performance management,

About the Presenter
Lisa Hellmann Rhodes is the Senior Director, Organizational Development and Learning at Gen-Probe, Incorporated. Lisa joined Gen-Probe in September, 2005, and her team is responsible for leading internal change leadership development, and talent management initiatives as well as partnering with each business area to increase organizational effectiveness.
Prior to joining Gen-Probe, she was Director of Global Learning and Development for MEMEC, a distributor of high tech components based in San Diego. Prior to that, Lisa was at Accenture where she managed large-scale change initiatives for clients in the High Technology market segment.
