CORPORATE POLITICS
“Do you love ‘em or hate ‘em?”
Grace Judson
Business Consultant and Executive Coach
4:00 p.m. Registration and networking
4:30-6:00 Program
Location:
Mission Federal Credit Union

San Diego, CA 92121
The Session
Join us for a dialogue on effective strategies for managing corporate politics. As OD practitioners, we become involved in the political aspects of an organization in a variety of ways. We may be coaching senior leaders to move effectively in the organization, or we ourselves are in the system and deciding how best to operate.
We may find our own personal values get challenged as we decide how to best work with clients. Explore ideas for increasing our own awareness of how we’re a player in the situation.
Discuss case examples to learn what approaches may work in handling some particularly sensitive situations.
Explore with us such issues as:
- How much should I become involved as the consultant to the group? Do I need to “stay above” it all?
- Do we need to be more or less “political” ourselves?
- Are there gender or ethnic issues that make it even more challenging to manage the politics?
- When should I walk away and how?
